Climate resilience is an essential component of the sustainable island state agenda. Through responsible climate action, the country ensures that there is a reliable supply of resources needed to propel the national economy while ensuring that there is flexibility to rebound from negative natural and manmade crises. Panellists in Session 6 will explore ways the Diaspora can contribute to achieving a reliable supply of water and renewable energy in a sustainable island state. The panel will also discuss ways to identify and create sustainability-oriented businesses that have the goal of creating new jobs that will help to sustain a healthy environment.
