Ms. Dhakiya Liburd

Dhakiya Liburd is a 24 year old national of St. Kitts and Nevis and resides on Nevis.  She attended the Charlestown Secondary School, then the Nevis 6^th form College where she earned an associates degree in Natural Sciences in Biology and Chemistry.

Dhakiya Liburd is a recent graduate of the University of the Virgin Islands Orville E. Kean Campus and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Mathematics. Ms. Liburd is passionate about STEM and leadership and has made significant strides in both areas while at university. While attending university, she obtained the role of President of the St. Kitts and Nevis Student Association (SKNSA UVI) from Fall 2023 to May 2024. An MUA (Medical University of the Americas) scholar, Liburd is a member of prestigious organizations such as the Golden Key International Honour Society.

Before attending university Ms. Liburd, taught Mathematics for two (2) years at the Charlestown Secondary School, a career that she is extremely passionate about as it gives her the opportunity to mold young minds for the future, especially in STEM related areas. Liburd is dedicated to advancing both scientific understanding and environmental stewardship in her community. In her spare time, Liburd indulges in craft making, expressing creativity through various projects.  She is the owner of All Things 869 – DENL Souvenirs.
