Biography
A Kittitian by birth, Mr. Dave J. Browne hails from the historical village of Lodge Project where he spent most of his formidable years. Dave later moved to the USA in 1999 with his family to expand his business. Dave is the Owner and Manager of COMPDAC, a Computer Development and Consultancy Company which opened its doors in the year, 1994. In his current role, Dave is responsible for ‘all things IT’ including but not limited to, installations, IT servicing, configuration management, networks and system designs, etc. Dave has worked for and with a wide array of large companies across several industries such as Walgreens, Wells Fargo, PNC, McDonalds, SDC Data Center and Berkley College to name a few.
Prior to migrating to the USA, Dave provided IT training and consultancy services in St. Kitts and Nevis to companies such as the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB), the Development Bank through the Eastern Caribbean Computer Specialist (ECCS) and the Ministry of Tourism. In addition, Dave designed, developed and brought to market a state of the art payroll program. Dave also taught Geography, Technical Drawing and Mathematics at the Cayon High School.
Dave holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and a Master’s Degree in Geography Information Systems (GIS). With his love for Geography and all things IT, Dave was able to marry these two disciplines and used these degrees to chart the course of his career and contributions to St. Kitts Nevis. In 1995, Dave was responsible for starting the first GIS Facility in the OECS in St. Kitts. Dave is currently working with a company in New Jersey to establish an iPhone /Tablet repair factory to boost the OECS in the field of Digital Advancement and Strategic Communication.
